New Classes

Hello. It is time again for beginner sign classes. Registration has begun and will continue thru the middle of July. Here are the dates for the next session of classes.
                                           Beginner: July 30-Sept 24
                                           Intermediate: Oct 22-Dec 10
                                             Advanced: Jan 28-Mar 18
 Contact me if you wish to take a class. I do give sibling discounts. Ask me about them.
There is one book that is used for all 3 sessions. Each session is 8 weeks, and is $50.

If you prefer a coop setting, I am teaching at Oasis Coop on Thursdays and Hero-Hs Coop on Fridays. These are semester classes and the pricing is different.

I am always sad when classes come to an end. This week, my two coops end.
The kids make me laugh and challenge me in many ways, and I always miss them.
I will remember them for many years to come, and will tell my future classes funny stories involving them. (much like I do now)

God Inspired Idea

Thank you, Laura, for your God inspired idea for me. I have requests for a Part 2 Sign class for next year, and just could not figure out how to do it. One of the moms suggested something to me. I went home and began to jot down some ideas, and filled up a whole page!
Now, I am in research mode. I have found a ton of info to help me, and have moved on to book research.
I am also working on something for the last class of our coop. The kids don't know what it is, so all they are talking about is our Silent Lunch.

Time for School Again!!

Believe it or not, I miss my classes when we are on vacation. When classes end, I am sad and always look forward to the next group of kids. Each group has its own dynamics.
But this year, I hope to leave these kids with the idea that most teachers teach cause they love the subject, and they love the kids. It is much more fun to take a class from someone you know likes you. :)
My kids have given me quite a few Star Wars items for Christmas gifts...so next year I am going to have my very own SW tree in my house. I am super excited about it.

I love clearance days after the holidays, cause I can get things for practically nothing....like my tree. But each year, when I look at it, and see each SW ornament, I will think about the student that gave it to me.
(insert warm smile with teary eyes here)

The End of the Semester

If it looks like we are having fun........well, it's because we are.

This bottom picture was missing a student. So, we wrote his name on a paper and put him in.

Funny Class

Okay, class has started. These kids (and grownups) make me laugh. On our quiz yesterday, one of my students got confused and blurted out the answer. Everyone  thought it was funny. Now that student will be teased by me relentlessly.

In the next few weeks, I will be taking pictures of all my classes and posting them on here. I have a great set of kids.
I notice now that I see my kids, and past kids, all the time now. We live in a fairly small town, but I run into them almost more than I should. But, it feels like we are family. :)
