The End of the Semester

Here are two of my classes. I will add the other once I get it from the parent who took the shot.
If it looks like we are having fun........well, it's because we are.

This bottom picture was missing a student. So, we wrote his name on a paper and put him in.

Merry Christmas!!

Funny Class

Okay, class has started. These kids (and grownups) make me laugh. On our quiz yesterday, one of my students got confused and blurted out the answer. Everyone  thought it was funny. Now that student will be teased by me relentlessly.

In the next few weeks, I will be taking pictures of all my classes and posting them on here. I have a great set of kids.
I notice now that I see my kids, and past kids, all the time now. We live in a fairly small town, but I run into them almost more than I should. But, it feels like we are family. :)

My next beginner class is starting next Monday, Oct 24. I have a nice size class signed up, and am looking forward to it. My other classes are coops, and they are 8 weeks into it now. My other class in N. Ral will not start up their next 8 week session until Feb of next year.

It is always fun to get to know the kids. I am silly by nature, and like to have fun. I also love to teach...so it all works well together. :)

I will post some pictures soon of my current classes. I can't now, since I have not taken any yet. LOLOL....
If you are in my next class....I can't wait to meet you.

This is most of my latest Wednesday class!! They were soooo quiet, except when we played the Facial Expression Game. And when our friend, Rebecca visited. She was a hoot!! I will miss you, and hope to see you all in February to finish our classes!

Sorry it has been so long since I blogged. I am almost finished with one 8 week class in N. Raleigh. These kids have been a lot of fun, although they are by FAR the quietest class EVER!!!

I will miss them, and hope they all sign up in Feb. I will post their picture after Wednesday. Keep studying ladies!!!

Summer is Here!

Well, summer is finally here. I need a break from homework, baseball, girl scouts....all of it. I know you do too.
I had to cancel my Monday Part 2 class due to lack of participation. I still have my Thursday Part 2 class. It will be fun.
I am also looking forward to the coop's. They will be high school (one of em) and I have a lot of fun things planned for them.
I look forward to the fall, since I love sign sooooo much.

End of an Era

Well, my classes have ended for this 8 weeks. I had a blast with them. Each class funny in it's own way....from Mondays class blurting out the most random thoughts to Thursdays class (the boys) playing and calling me Teacher Lady to the famous brownies (still wonder about those).  LOLOL

I will miss each class very much, and I hope they will continue on for the next part.

Here are the pictures of both classes. They are all so cute.

Fussy Teacher!!

Okay, I was a fussy teacher today. Some students obviously had not been studying at home, and I scolded them. Kids don't realize that when they don't keep up, they hold the whole class back while they wait for that student to look up a word....or 5 words.

My mantra is: 5 minutes a day will keep Ms. Kelly away. Words to live by! Now, what are you waiting for? Go Study!!!

We will miss you!

Well, unfortunately, I have had some students have to drop out of one of my classes. Both were for health reasons. I am sorry this has to happen, but I totally understand.

Sometimes you can't do everything you want to do. I wish these people healing and happiness. Plus, we hope they can come back another time. Sign language class only gets more fun as we go along.

Well, more fun for me as I can torture my students. Kidding...kidding. I enjoy challenging my students so they can see just how much they can do. It builds their confidence.

See you all in class.

I'm only cool to me...but I don't mind.

I have to say I have some of the cutest young people in my classes. They are not sure what to make of me, but that is okay. I am used to it.

I am cool in my own little world...but apparantly not in the real one. LOLOL  I don't mind. I love teaching and I love seeing the potential in my students. These two classes have just begun, but I am already missing them because I know it is over way too fast.

I am planning in my head for my coop's...and hoping they become a reality. Every day I am thankful that God has placed this opportunity in front of me. I am thankful for people who obeyed God in asking me to teach.....and glad that I obeyed Him by going forward with it.

God can't steer a parked  car, and waters never part until your feet get wet.

Ready for another week

I have now met both my classes and am ready to begin another week. I can see that I am going to have so much fun. My students have NO IDEA how silly I am or how much I love to have fun. It won't take them long to figure it out. The main thing for them to know now is to study and review a little each night.

Get ready, this is where the fun begins!!!!

Manic Monday

Let me say, when God blesses you, He really blesses your socks off!! My first class today was a hoot. I always enjoy meeting my students and getting started. Everyone is so wide eyed and excited. They have no idea how hard it is going to really get. But, it is still so fun.

My manic Monday came in before my class. I had 5 emails wanting to know if they could still sign up. I had one wanting me to start another class in another local area. So, wow.

I have another beginner class on Thursday. I am excited to see all the people from the emails today. All but one (who came to today's class) chose Thursday as their class day.

I will post some pictures as I get them. Enjoy your lovely spring evening.

Next Week Begins

I just realized my kiddos track back in and my classes begin on Monday. I have another class pending for Thursday. Some people contacted me to do that, and they are working out all the details for me to teach at their church. God is really opening up doors for me. I have two coops asking me to teach classes for them as well. I know the Lord is directing my steps, but He has overwhelmed me and surpassed my grand expectations so far.

If you are signed up for my classes, I look forward to having fun with you. To those of you who had Silent Lunch with me yesterday....I miss you already.

My First Post

This is a first of many posts in my new adventure. I have just finished my first two part sign language class for homescholars. It was very fun and I think I learned just as much as my class.

God has opened a door for me to do this on a regular basis. I am very thankful. So, this blog will chronicle some of the things that happen in my classes (which, they will. I am a nut) and it will let anyone interested know when more classes are coming up.

So, bear with me as I get this up and running. Fasten your seatbelts...this should be fun.
